Restoring the Attorney General’s vital role as trusted legal advisor to state agencies and the Land Board by providing sound legal advice based on the Rule of Law, hiring the best people based on ethics and skill, and abandoning past practices based on narrow and divisive ideologies.  

Upholding the Rule of Law

Providing prompt, accurate, and authoritative legal opinions to legislators and state officials, to highlight legal weaknesses that would invite costly court challenges. Consistently following the law as written, regardless of political pressure.

Serving Everyday Idahoans

Protecting Idaho Women & Families – Protecting the rights of women and families to make their own health care decisions and reviewing any current laws or proposed legislation for impacts that might drive physicians from Idaho.

Safeguarding Idaho’s Children – Maintaining and strengthening the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force.

Prioritizing Consumer Protection – Vigorously prosecuting consumer fraud, scams, Medicaid fraud, and price-fixing schemes that harm everyday Idahoans and distort fair markets.

Protecting Idaho’s Public Lands and Natural Resources

Keeping Idaho’s lands and waters in Idaho hands. Vigorously fighting efforts to sell or restrict access to and usage of federally-owned lands in Idaho, and defending the state’s natural resources — water, forests, fish and wildlife.

Supporting Our Justice System

Supporting adequate funding and resources for Idaho’s entire justice system, including  law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, public defenders, correctional agencies and the courts.

Preserving Our Elections

Defending Idaho’s Constitutional right to administer its own fair, honest and orderly elections, free from federal overreach or interference.

Respecting Law Enforcement

Respecting the decisions of local law enforcement agencies regarding their participation in federal immigration enforcement programs, rather than mandating their involvement —  finite state resources should be focused on public trust and safety.

Safeguarding Public Education

Defending Idaho’s constitutional obligation to provide a free, uniform, and thorough public education for all of Idaho’s children.

Supporting Teachers

Supporting Idaho’s school teachers who hang apolitical posters in their classrooms with the simple message that “everyone is welcome here.”
